REBUILD & REFOCUS

Hey OwnPace Family,

As we go into the 2nd half of the year  (the 3rd quarter), we will be starting a new Phase of Training. This Phase of training is called Rebuild and Refocus and it will last for about 9 – 12 weeks depending on how many times a week you train with me at the gym  and if you have access to some basic dumbbells. 

The 9 weeks will be broken down into 3 distinct phases. In the REBUILD portion of the training we’ll be working on better movement and reinforcing good mechanics and patterns. With better movement, we tend to move more often and thus getting to our goals faster. The REFOCUS portion means over the next 9 weeks we’ll be reducing the variety of movements and really focus on hitting specific goals which allows the body to adapt quicker. This Phase of training is predicated on 3 Strength Training days, so after we've worked on all 3 days together, you will get a copy of your 3 training days as we move through the different phases. For example, if you only train with me 2 days a week, you’ll be able to do the 3rd day of that week on your own or we’ll just extend it to the following week, which is why this phase could take between 9 – 12 weeks.

The goal over the next 9 weeks is to rebuild the body from the ground up so that it will be in a state of optimal adaptation and will get you your goals more effectively. This is the only body we’ll have in this life time, so we have to take really good care of it. And as your coach, I’m here to make sure you have not only your best looking body but also your best functioning and pain free body. 

I’ve added a new section on the website just for OwnPace clients called “clients corner”. It will house information only you will understand. I’ll be sending out more details each week, as we get through the phases such as what your off day should look like and your eating habits.
